I've lived in the Metro-East for my entire life.

I was born and raised here.
What do you love most about the Metro-East?
First of all, we're close to so many activities and attractions without the problems of a large city, traffic and crime. Most of all, I like the area's Community values and pride. The area is a great place to raise a family. The quality of people is unbeatable – is full of great friends, strong work ethics and community commitments.
What advice would you give someone moving to the area?
Keep an open mind. There's such a difference to every town in the Metro-East. Be patient and find an area that fits you. There's a lot of diversity here – I guarantee you can find the right fit for you. If you want a more rural setting, you can find that. If you want something that's more similar to a city setting, we've got that too. You can find what fits you here. I think no matter what you're looking for, you'll be happy here.
What are your favorite attractions in the Metro-East?
We've got a lot to choose from. Every weekend there is a different activity in the area. I love visiting different community bars and restaurants and seeing what is unique.
What do you think are the Metro-East's best assets?
It's got to be the people. We've got such a strong sense of community. The quality of people is undeniable. Anywhere you turn there's always a smile. Anywhere you go you see a community that's very family oriented, hard-working, honest and friendly.
What do you like to do for fun in the Metro-East?
I enjoy outdoor activities with the kids, including fishing and hunting. Our kids keep us busy with sports, school, baseball and basketball.
