My dad was stationed at Scott Air Force Base.

In what Metro-East city do you live?

Glen Carbon

What do you love most about the Metro-East?

What I like most is our proximity to the big city mixed with the small town feel. We are close enough to the city, but not in it.

What advice would you give someone moving to the area?

Every city and town has its own personality so I would recommend experiencing all of the communities to find the one that is right for them. I have lived in several communities in the Metro-East including Mascoutah, Belleville and Collinsville and I now live in Glen Carbon.

What are your favorite attractions in the Metro-East?

I enjoy the variety of microbreweries, wineries and boutique shops and the more eclectic, specialty restaurants.

What do you think are the Metro-East’s best assets?

I think the best assets for the area are our schools districts, Scott Air Force Base and the Madison County Bike Trails.

What do you like to do for fun in the Metro-East?

I enjoy golfing at some of the nicest golf courses around, getting outdoors, hitting the trails and going to the many festivals.
